I have the 40mm grey dial no date. And despite having a fairly common style of case, the watch has a distinct personality… in fact, it wears almost more like a Sinn diver than a Pan, which I definitely prefer. It gives it a bit of a sportier feel, and is certainly something that will work well in the water. Seeing the smaller 40mm model, which before receiving I expected to be my favorite, I now know that not all watches should be 40mm and under… at least not for my wrist. Then pick up their 49mm Megalodon. Both watches come with bracelets and iso-frane-style rubber straps. Because of the nature of the design of five watches, they tend to have thick case walls , wide bezels and smaller diameter dials. I think they would be better served by these being the same indice as we see at the other hour markers, just for sake of uniformity.
One of the first things that struck me with this watch, surprisingly, was the bracelet. Having these options allows people to really find the right size for them. Larger straight-up lume markers would have been simple and sporty, working more with the tool watch aesthetic of the brand as a whole. The dart design and DLC case make it both aggressive and stealth in a way that I find very appealing. The 16mm is also more noticeable with the smaller diameter. The bezel on the 42mm is the same basic style as that of the 40, but executed differently. The next model was the Sea Devil which also came out but watches with different dial colors and case finishes.
It had a Miyota movement and was 42mm in diameter. I should also note that the grey strap really changes the regiew of the watch. Very quickly, you can tell if you have something that is barely considered leather it will have an almost plasticky smellor something that is the real deal.
Review: The Benarus Vintage Moray | Wrist Watch Review
This is a funky dial with a lot of personality that, as far as I can tell, is completely unique to Benarus. Unfortunately, the 20mm bracelet had only a basic clasp. In my initial writeup on the Benarus Vintage Moray I called out the printing on the dial, as it did not feel quite right to me. A 47mm watch with a 49mm bezel and m water resistance.
In this instance, the dial actually comes to about All of the dials regardless of color feature a fade, with the color being lighter in the center. You have entered an incorrect email address! Here, there is a rich leather scent, so there is no doubt that this is a higher quality strap.
The model I had was also DLC coated, which can at times make things look smaller. The dart design and DLC case make it both aggressive and stealth in a way that I find very appealing. Between the two, I clearly preferred the 42mm model as I felt it just fit me right. They are on the higher side for a Miyota powered diver, but they have the features and qualities to warrant the price.
It also brings another choice to the mix within the lineup along with wwatch dial choicesmeaning that if you are tempted by the Moray line, there likely is something there that matches your tastes.
A very nice and nuanced review.
As such, it feels like an aiming reticule of some sort. Next up is the bezel. If you find yourself wearing benaurs watch when the lights go down, you will be pleased to see the lume C3 Superluminova is very modern, and makes reading the watch in the dark a cinch.
It also had the Miyota movement but a 45mm case diameter.
Review: The Benarus Vintage Moray
Both watches come with bracelets and iso-frane-style rubber straps. In fact, it fit wacth perfectly. There was also a titanium chronograph with an eta Before diving headfirst into the world of watches, mkray spent his days as a product and graphic designer. Also carried over is the automatic HEV — something that not a single one of us will need, […].
It also looks a little cheap and plasticky. The watches I am looking at today are part of their Moray line, which has been around for sometime, yet keeps getting new iterations. One of the first things that struck me with this watch, surprisingly, was the bracelet. I think they would be better served by these benadus the same indice as we see at the other hour markers, just for sake of uniformity.
On the picture below is the first batch in steel and the current batch in bronze.
The numerals are thick C3 lume, while the dots are C3 lume with steel surrounds. You have entered an incorrect email address! The white is legible with high contrast, though I was hoping it would be lumed too. As someone with a small wrist, I got a skx recently thinking that it would fit me better, but I am now wondering if I should have bought the skx instead.
The case itself then look very compact, not delicate o diminutive, but compressed a bit. Because of the nature of the design of five watches, they tend to have thick case wallswide bezels and smaller diameter dials.
Going old school with the Tissot Heritage Visodate. Larger straight-up lume markers would have been simple and sporty, working more with the tool watch aesthetic of the brand as a whole. The bracelets are a modified oyster style and non-tapering. Please enter your name here. For this review, I am going to start in a place that we normally save for the end — the strap. Starting with the 40mm, the dial was matte black though there are other options with a primary index of large numerals for 12, 3, 6 and 9, and dots for the other hours.
Prefer the 40 mm dimensions!
REVIEW: Benarus Moray 42
The thing that is great benarks a brand like Benarus is warch they are a known quantity. The next model was the Sea Devil which also came out but watches with different dial colors and case finishes. Regiew gives it a bit of a sportier feel, and is certainly something that will work well in the water.
Lining up the Diefendorff Cornelius The only thing I take some issue with is the use of steel surrounds on the lume dots.
It was 42mm in diameter and got a miyota They mory less style or fashion pieces as watches that want to go in the water. Hope to see that soon. Lines are sharp and clean, tolerances are tight, etc… The most impressive aspect of them is that they are both m water resistant, despite their somewhat smaller dimensions.
Both watches feature domed sapphire crystals, HEV, M water resistance and Miyota automatic movements. That said, the numerals at 12 and 6 do not sit well with the design. WristWatchReview is the web’s oldest watch blog.
The other option would be to explore some sort of a sandwich dial, further cementing the vintage looks.
